Live music provided by local primate rockers, Patchwork Monkey! Featuring an eclectic mix of bawdy blues, spectacular funk, torchy jazz, rollicking rock, edgy folk, precious metal, post-grunge lounge, and apocalyptic pop. Proceeds will benefit Primates Incorporated, a nonprofit raising funds to construct an enriching indoor/outdoor primate sanctuary in southern Wisconsin so that monkeys retired from research can live the rest of their lives in a peaceful and enriching habitat. To date, Primates Incorporated has raised $87,000 toward their capital fundraising campaign goal of $800,000. There will be a raffle prize giveaway at 6:30p, fun merchandise for sale, and a silent auction to raise extra funds! Tell all the primates you know!

Rock the Monkey Events 2009 Summary
Thanks to everyone for attending the rock the monkey benefits - we raised $453 and received a great deal of publicity, which increased awareness about Primates Incorporated! Unfortunately the turnout was pretty low and so we are meeting to see how we can improve our fundraising strategies for next year. if you are from Madison and would like to attend our January meeting, please email amy@primatesinc.com.
