Results of in-house benefit and auction on October 16th, 2007

Thanks to everyone who attended the benefit. We had a high raffle ticket expense and so the net amount raised was $862. Added on to our $1658 from our online auction, we raised $2520.00 this fall! Our raffle was a success and a learning experience. Although we had to purchase the prizes, we were able to support the local business, Full Compass Systems, and have already submitted a proposal to them for next year requesting a laptop donation. The donated laptop will ensure that we have a more appealing raffle prize so we have more fundraising capabilities. 91 raffle tickets were sold over three weeks - we hope to quadruple these sales next year by selling the tickets four months in advance. Please view the end of this summary to read the acknowledgements of the businesses, patrons, and volunteers who made the fall 2007 benefit a success.
