We have the opportunity to help Amy Kerwin and Primates, Inc. complete their wonderful Primate Sanctuary. Her project was featured on the cover of the Isthmus newspaper http://isthmus.com/news/cover-stories/amy-kerwin-primates-inc-sanctuary-macaque/. We are so proud to be able to help make this dream of a refuge for rhesus macaque monkeys a reality…

    From the post:

Wear work clothes and be prepared for some manual labor.

The designer of the walkway (picture below), Juliee de la Terre, owner of Ethos Restoration Landscapes, is donating her time to direct us, and needed materials will await us at the sanctuary. If we leave Madison at 9, we should arrive there around 10. Bring a picnic lunch. Stay afterward to walk the nature trail! Vegan brownies and fruit will be provided for extra energy 🙂

This is a fantastic opportunity to help make a difference for our monkey friends. Please join us! Do you have friends who’d like to help? Bring them, too!!

Rain date is the following Sunday, September 24.

Please email amy@primatesinc.com to RSVP and for directions to the site.

Juliee is awesome to work with and has a vast knowledge of land restoration, botany, etc! She named every plant on site on our first nature trail walk, for starters! Contact her at ethosrl.com/contact/ for your land restoration needs!

Please sign up on our email list at primatesinc.com to stay updated with our events and volunteer opportunities as we add them. Progress to help the monkeys is increasing at lightening speed! Thanks to all of the Primates Incorporated supporters out there for helping us get to this point!
